SoCal HIMSS corporate sponsorship addresses your business needs. As the leading association dedicated to the healthcare information and management systems industry, HIMSS creates an invaluable relationship between you and the healthcare IT industry. Select from multiple levels of sponsorship – each with an array of value-based benefits designed to meet your company’s specific needs. Our annual sponsorships coincide with the SoCal HIMSS fiscal year (ending June 30th)
Sponsor levels (See note 1 below)
Elite (Formerly called Platinum) – Annual category. Gain significant market exposure, position key products and access your key regional leaders. This sponsorship level indicates your commitment to our SoCal HIMSS organization throughout the year. You receive special recognition at each program and you will have the opportunity to sponsor a complete program at a location of your choice. By underwriting our events keeping member costs low you will be provided special recognition on our SoCal HIMSS website with your company logo and a description of services all year, and up to four complimentary registrations at each program (based on space/availability), additionally we will post your logo on the back of the program agenda at each meeting and display it on a PowerPoint along with our other sponsors at the beginning of each meeting. You will also be provided either a vendor table or an opportunity to address our members to introduce your company’s solutions and products (this depends on the size of each venue and/or agenda logistics). Offered at $3,000, the annual sponsorship is easier to submit for annual budget planning.
Premier (Formerly called Gold) – Annual category. This sponsorship level also indicates your commitment to our SoCal HIMSS organization throughout the year. You receive special recognition at each program and you will have the opportunity to sponsor a complete program at a location of your choice. By underwriting our events keeping member costs low you will be provided special recognition on our SoCal HIMSS website with your company logo and a description of services all year, and up to two complimentary registrations at each program (based on space/availability), additionally we will post your logo on the back of the program agenda at each meeting and display it on a PowerPoint along with our other sponsors at the beginning of each meeting. You will also be provided either a vendor table or an opportunity to address our members to introduce your company’s solutions and products (this depends on the size of each venue and/or agenda logistics). Offered at $2,000, the annual sponsorship is also easier to submit for annual budget planning.
Named (Formerly Ad-hoc) –At $1,000 per program, this sponsorship provides up to one complimentary registrations for the program (based on space/availability), your company logo and service description from the point of commitment to sponsorship until after the program and recognition at the program. This sponsorship level allows your company to target specific programs (unless sponsored by a particular vendor) that relate most closely to your products or services. You will also be provided either a vendor table or an opportunity to address our members to introduce your company’s solutions and products (this depends on the size of each venue and/or agenda logistics). This sponsorship level also allows the ability to keep the cost below departmental budgetary thresholds allowing for rapid approval. However, SoCal HIMSS is not able to guarantee space for each separate event since some events are sponsored by a particular vendor. Interest in sponsorship has increased dramatically and we have begun limiting the total number of vendors that formally sponsor So CA HIMSS. We also strongly encourage our vendor sponsors to distribute the program brochure to their mailing list. Many of our sponsors see this as an opportunity to host their clients and target programs that relate to their products and or services.
HOST SPONSORSHIP---THIS IS A NEW CATEGORY
Sponsor organization provides a ROOM LOCATION and FOOD for the meeting. Room must be able to hold a minimum of 100 people (ideally up to 200 people) and be in a desired geographic location.
Host sponsor should provide lunch/meal for all event attendees prior to the event, as well as refreshments after the event for an attendee social/networking hour.
There is only one (1) Host Sponsor per event. The Host Sponsor receives the following benefits:
Up to 5 free complimentary registrations to the event based on space/availability
Prime recognition on email invitations and notices sent to SoCal HIMSS members
Prime recognition as Host Sponsor in press releases and media notices
Logo/notice on the SoCal HIMSS website
Prime recognition as Host Sponsor in the event program
You will also be provided either a vendor table or an opportunity to address our members to introduce your company’s solutions and products (this depends on the size of each venue and/or agenda logistics).
RAFFLE PRIZE SPONSORS---THIS IS A NEW CATEGORY
Raffles keep event attendees in the sessions to the end. Raffle prize sponsors may choose to have a representative from their firm give the prize to the winner of the raffle. Representative must register for the event and pay the appropriate registration fee. There is a $100 sponsorship fee in addition to the raffle prize, which includes:
Event program recognition
Prizes that are highly valued by attendees include personal technology items (such as iPods, game systems, or PDAs), gourmet food items and wine, or gift certificates. If you are interested in being a raffle prize sponsor, our sponsorship chair will work with you to select a suitable prize for our audience.
PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS
SPONSORSHIP PAYMENTS MUST BE FULFILLED NO LATER THAN 7 DAYS PRIOR TO THE EVENT. This ensures inclusion in the event program. Earlier payment increases sponsor exposure as named sponsors will be included in more mailings to HIMSS members and in press releases and media notices.

REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR SPONSORS
Every sponsor attendee needs to register each attendee separately using our online registration site. This insures an accurate headcount for food and attendance purposes.
SoCal HIMSS Online Registration and Payment
For the first registration choose “Sponsor-Full” in the Registration Category selection. Sponsorship fees can be paid using Visa or MasterCard online, or by check.
For the second person registration use the same registration process and be sure to include the same company name and also indicate “Pay by check”. The registration will be flagged as “paid”.
SPONSOR REQUIREMENTS: Sponsor Company Logos
Sponsors should send a print quality company logo (.eps color format preferred) to sponsor@himsssocal.org. This will be used on our website and in marketing materials to recognize our sponsors and will be included on the published program agenda to be distributed during the event.
This logo must be received no later than 7 days prior to the event for inclusion in the event program. Earlier submission increases sponsor exposure as the sponsor logo will be included in more mailings to HIMSS members and in press releases and media notices.

Note 1: Sponsorships do not include free participation in Advocacy Day or the Chapter luncheon at the annual National meeting. There are additional fees for those events, as determined by the Board of Directors.
